dumb comedy that misses the spot too often..
Anneliese from Dublin, 02 Feb 2010
The always watchable Michael Cera stars in this dumb comedy with too many flat jokes to keep the interest over 90 minutes. Jack Black does his usual schtick - and as usual, he comes across as trying way too hard.
Setting a movie in biblical times but using the comedic language of today, complete with its propensity for crudity and bawdy humour was a brave move, but we have seen it all before and done a whole lot better (Life of Brian).
There are a few laughs, but they are usually generate
Rubbish

Don't bother, it's absolutely not funny in any away. And I would consider myself a fan of both Black and Cera and the writing team. This was truly awful.
