4 out of 10 good popcorn movie
Tom from Wicklow, 30 Jun 2007
well its obviously built around cruise, so if you can get over that hump its actually a good film. i still think the original is better. its not the usual with the 'hero' saving the world. cruise plays a working class divorced dad, and a pretty crap dad at that. as usual we are loaded with the angry teenager stuff (why do they do this!). special effects are excellent. creepy sound..a popcorn night in, dont think too much scifi movie..if thats what you want -- this is not bad.

Amazing graphics. The only fault would be that the story comes together at the end a bit too easily

What's it about....
A contemporary retelling of H.G. Wells's seminal classic, Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller reveals the extraordinary battle for the future of humankind through the eyes of one American family fighting to survive it.
