Slow motion for everyone
Attila from Tipperary, 15 Jan 2009
Watchable, voluble action movie. It is full with breath-taking effects (stolen from Matrix) and has a nice twist in the story line. This movie is perfect to be converted into a consol game. And why my review is so sour-sweat? It is too easy, I saw these effects already, and I expect more from Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie...no, she was smiling sexy enough. With an ingenious directing it could get more stars and better critique. Oh, and wait with the rental until it will be half price or less

Useless!

I was amazed at how amazingly boring this movie was despite the acting talent it contained-James McEvoy, brilliant in Last King of Scotland, looked like he was playing a computer game such were the over-the-top facial expressions. Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie visibly struggled with the appalling script. The special effects weren't even that enjoyable. A few slow-motion shots, "Matrix" style, did not make up for the totally unbelievable storyline. Pity...what were they thinking.

Absolute Rubbish

I was holding out all the way through the movie for character motivation, dialogue that wasnt just 'hey what's going on' or complete drivel, or how about some good action sequences. well if you saw the trailer you've seen those. Slow motion is the only 'technique' that is used for the action scenes which exist in a movie, though comic book in origin is just obsurdly ridiculous and grattingly devoid of any believable plot points or anything to fill the massive holes in the script.

Waste of time...

OK, this movie has got to be one of the silliest I have ever had the displeasure of wasting my time on...
The plot seems to get more complicated as the film progresses and the performance from James McEvoy is in all seriousness, the worst I have seen from him to date!
Avoid this movie unless your brain dead (even then it'll will be considered a waste of time)

This film is a leave your brain at the door type of film, however if you love action film's like i do then you'll love this. the action and cgi are a bit over the top but in the end it's really what makes the film great.
If you have any sort of imagination then you will enjoy this, but if your someone who doesn't then I would say don't bother watching this cos you really do need to have a bit of an imagination for this film.
