One of those films to see before you die
Laura from Galway, 22 Aug 2010
Im sure this film must be in those "See before you die" lists. It is a classic courtroom drama. It was originally a play so it does feel quite un-movie like at times. There is none of the fast paced editing or intrusive soundtracks that seem to pervade more recent courtroom movies. Almost every minue of the film takes place in a single room. Fantastic performances from all actors bring real, raw emotion to the screen. Watch it and then if you get the chance go see it on stage too.

A Classic

Henry Fonda delivers a sublime performance as the only man on the jury who just cannot accept the seemingly solid case against the accused and so he sets about picking through all the evidence to convince the other 11 jurors of their error of judgement. A true masterclass in character acting is delivered all round and the result is an engrossing movie from start to finish. Highly, highly recommended.

Henry fonda is amazing as the only guy who actually really listens to the evidence and sees if there are holes in it. Everyone else has made up their minds that the defendant is guilty before they entered the Jury room. What transpires is henry Fonda's character questioning the evidence and showing that there is a reasonable doubt..an absolutely brilliant movie!!!
A classic

Anyone that has ever been called for jury duty will enjoy this. Solid acting from the entire cast and when you consider that most of the movie takes place in one room and you're engrossed for the entire duration, you then appreciate what quality film-making is all about. No special effects on this one :o)
Cinematic triumph!

Twelve stunning performances, none more magnificent than the charismatic Fonda. An excellent study in mob psychology, with Fonda playing the only reasonable character. Through his logical line of questioning, the verdict is unanimously arrived at. Highly recommended!
