Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (2011)

I found it unnecessarily complicated. Having to maintain so many different names, organisations, events, nicknames etc in your head simultaneously when they're only referred to by someone muttering under their breath (you REALLY need to turn on the subtitles for this one) is a pain in the arse. This may make sense in the book or TV series but doesnt work in a film. It could have been a great film if they'd distilled it down to the essentials. Even the summary of the plot on wikipedia is complicated! I recommend having a notepad/whiteboard at the ready if you do watch this...

I never write a review but feel I have to about this film. Its really boring. Gave it a chance but did not get any better throughout. Be warned!

This never seemed to get going. No energy or presence from the actors, which also fed into the feeling of bordem throughout the whole film.

I was very disappointed with this film. painfully slow and quite boring, definitely not a gripping espionage thriller.

Not one that you can switch your brain off for, very good stuff.
