Read the book!!
Eileen from Offaly, 04 Feb 2011
If I had not read the book before watching this movie I would have thought it was ok. But having read the book and following the story to the point of feeling involved in it, the movie does not do justice to this amazing clever story. There was such alot left out of the movie and it glazed over some important stuff. I'm glad I saw it though as I was curious as to how it would lend itself to the big screen. The answer is - it doesn't really - so read the book!!

A romantic weepie wrapped inside a science fiction
Mary from Limerick, 18 Mar 2011
The Time Traveler’s Wife is a romantic weepie wrapped inside a science fiction movie boxed within a mystery puzzle. Directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan), and adapted from Audrey Niffenegger’s bestselling novel of 2003 by Bruce Joel Rubin (who also wrote the screenplay for another mushy paranormal picture, Ghost), it wants desperately to engage our hearts, but for long stretches will leave most of us scratching our heads.
A Chick-Flick Sci-Fi Movie !!!
Nenad from Dublin, 02 Jul 2010
Tyhe only thing sci-fi is the time travel which, of course, raises allthe usual issues and paradoxes which are completely ignored is this film. Left with a somewhat drawn-out romance tale which is neither particularly riveting or told that well. Passable stuff, but never watch more than once.
Loved this film
Michelle from Longford, 09 Dec 2010
I haven't enjoyed a film like this in a while. I love backwards forwards films, reminds me of Sliding Doors or The Lake House. Leaves you thinking about it for days after. Both actors were very good. Eric Bana is gorgeous. I haven't red the book but would like to now.
