Travolta does his mad bad guy impression and Denzel plays his ordinary joe caught in the middle act. This is ok stuff but nothing special, the story doesn't really explain the real reason they are highjacking the train (apart from the ransom) which leaves you wondering did you miss something at the end. Average fare.
Does what it says on the tin

Ok, how many times have we seen Travolta play the bad guy...? well enough to know that he is convincing as one.....even if it seems that he writes his own script....he gels well with Denzil who plays his part well . It gives its entire time to entertaining and thats what it should do........nuff said !!!
DISSAPOINTED

This ain,t a bad film it just ain,t great there is a spark missing in it .was not mad about the way it comes on so ye I was dissapointed with this film it was fast with some good acting but some off the film did not work good a little rushed in parts maybe i just thought there was more to it .
Fades in the end

Like most films with Denzel, this one is very watchable. It starts off quite well with the hijacking of a subway train and the initial negotiations. But the plot runs a little thin towards the latter stages. Decent cast, and overall decent movie.
A hijack movie by numbers...123 ;)

Nothing new on offer here, you've seen it before. Performances are not outstanding either, John Travolta hams it up and Denzel Washington doesnt convince as 'the average family man'. watchable nonetheless.
