It took me about 2 weeks to actually watch this as i was determined after reading the other (quite terrible) reviews of this film that i would watch the entire performance. i watched half and it took me a long time to build up the courage to watch the other half, it was terrible, the only thing that kept me going was the handsome rdj and even then he had a tough job, the film is slow to start, barely gets off the ground for the main voyage and then crashes spectacularly back to the earth with a

4 out of 10 Not ur usual feel good flick
Bryan from Wexford, 30 Nov 2010
I was suprised by this film, Downey and Foxx are well respected and are great to watch so I expected a nice easy watch. Although waning in parts the film jumps and starts along nicely. I found wound up in the part about helping foxx release his potential and the film shows that really you're on your own in the end and it's up to you what u want from life.

Elaine from Galway, 18 May 2010
I found this boring. downey jr is enjoyable but you would probably watch him in an advertisement for toilet paper. the film itself would probably have been better as a book. it was slow. predictable. nothing gripping. i thought jamie foxx was just alright.... overall....not worth renting unless you are really stuck and like hearing beethoven.....

1.5 out of 10 Boring
Louise from Dublin, 16 Dec 2010
The production of this film is where is all when wrong for me. It was jumping all over the place. This can be viewed in the first scene with so much going on it is hard to hear what is being said. Luckily the film is very slow placed so there is nothing much to miss.

0.5 out of 10 Boring
Fidelma from Clare, 19 May 2010
A non gripping story about a journalist who comes across a homeless man with mental health problems who is a musican and tries to help him. Quite slow and boring. It could be about any homeless person and any self obsessed journalist.
