3.5 out of 10 a good film
Nuala from Dublin, 15 Jan 2010
I enjoyed this film. However it wasn’t a great adaptation of the book because it stayed to loyal to the original not wanting to lose any of the characters. That said it is still a great story and nicely told.

1.5 out of 10 Very disappointed Book much better
Sarah from Dublin, 05 Dec 2010
After reading the book I could not wait to see the film but I turned it off after an hour. I felt they left out so much important events from the book. My advice read the book and dont watch the film.

4 out of 10 Top Story
Mark from Dublin, 08 Jul 2009
You cannot fail to enjoy this movie and might be worthwhile to bring some tissues since my girl was in bits throughout large parts of this. Very refreshingly different from what is usually served up.

2.5 out of 10 The Book is Better!
Clare from Dublin, 22 Dec 2009
This is a grand film, but doesnt give the same umph as the book. Its light entertainment but there isnt the same reference to honey in the film and its that which makes the book so brilliant.

Caoimhe from Waterford, 20 May 2010
Having read the book, and loved it, I was eager to see the film. It was far from a disappointment. Engaging, interesting, poignant and heartwarming all rolled into one! Well worth a look.
