3 out of 10 Very enjoyable
Ken from Louth, 22 Dec 2009
Nicely crafted film with good performances all round. Arkin and Wright are terrific as is Maria Bello as Pippa's neurotic mother. It also goes to prove that Keanu Reeves is at his best when he doesn't have to say or do much. The film asks lots of questions of what we are and were and reminds us that we are not just co-workers, parents or friends. Once we too lived secret other lives as well. This is a film to sit , watch and absorb and is worth the 90 minutes or so it runs.

3 out of 10 Good
Maria from Louth, 07 Dec 2009
I found this movie fascinating - not because of the storyline, but more because of the directing and acting, which was excellent. Even though it is a slow drama, with narration, it doesn't feel like it's dragging on. It's different, but good.

0.5 out of 10 One of the worst films I have ever seen
Eamon from Meath, 22 Feb 2010
Depressing, boring, unappealing. No characters with any redeeming features. I only had it on my list because the wife wanted to see it and she disliked it even more than I did.

2 out of 10 Just average
KARINE from Dublin, 19 Jul 2010
Bot really bad but not really good either. The film goes by without me feeling any kind emotions, not funny, not sad, not interresting .... good acting for sure but thats it.

Very good acting (except for Keanu reeves). I was impressed with Robin Wright-Penn, quite different from what she's been doing.

What's it about....
From all outward appearances, Pippa Lee (Robin Wright Penn) leads a charmed existence. An anchor of feminine serenity, she is the devoted wife of an accomplished publisher (Alan Arkin) thirty years her senior, the proud mother of two grown children, and a trusted friend and confidant to all who cross her path. But as Pippa dutifully follows her husband to a new life in a staid Connecticut retirement community, her idyllic world and the persona she has built over the course...
