4.5 out of 10 lovely movie and great music
Laura from Dublin, 12 Dec 2007
I simply loved the movie. It could have been another cool teacher movie, full of american tacky and cheap emotional games. It has the nice european touch, simple but deep in the same time. The reality provoke dreams as scape, in the way that the dreams can change the reality. "The Chorus" really touch in the way "Cinema Paradise" did years ago. I fully go for the european cinema, it can really make you fly. Ah, I will get as soon as posible the sound track, it is brilliant.

4.5 out of 10 Fantastic and uplifting!
Ciaran from Dublin, 01 Jun 2007
A touching and effective exercise in the good teacher bringing out the best in his 'bad apple' students. Excellent performances all round with a cracking script, this beautifully shot movie will leave an impact for sure. A gem.

What's it about....
A memorable entry in the genre of inspirational pedagogical films, THE CHORUS is an uplifting tale of a masterful teacher who put his heart into his work and changed the lives of his students forever. With a soundtrack of boys' singing, the lovely music of this film is the glue that will stick to viewers long after watching it. Set in 1940s rural France, at a school for poor boys who are delinquent or orphaned, the story feels timeless in the way that it captures a crucial...
