NOT DIRECTED. VOMITED.

Two Feds investigate a murder in a hick town where even the law are trailer trash. Predictably everything goes downhill from there. How far downhill, you'll be stunned to see. Directed by the daughter of David Lynch, Surveillance has all the venality of the great man but none of his style, surrealist brilliance or, most of all, humanity. (Boxing Helena was one of her previous outings, so that gives you some idea.) Imagine Rashomon directed by the criminally insane. Spirals down into the kind of meaningless nihilism that leaves a strong stench of sick in your TV room.
