Street Kings

1.5 out of 10 just below average
Barbara from Cork, 04 Feb 2009
This was quite a disappointment given that the cast includes people like Forest Whitaker and Hugh Laurie. The script, however, let all of them, and the viewer, down. It's a very predictable story made to look good. Keanu Reeves is quite unconvincing as the troubled cop. Wouldn't exactly call this a total waste of time but there are tons of better cop/corruption films out there.

0.5 out of 10 Sorely disappointing
Myles from Louth, 18 Dec 2008
Think of every good cop, bad cop movie cliche there has ever been, roll them into one story and you get Street Kings. Keanu Reeves is the worst hard drinking tough guy cop you will ever see and Forest Whitakker proves that even oscar winning, in demand actors will work for a paycheque. If you liked Copland, Training Day or The Departed, avoid this like the plague!

3.5 out of 10 Suprised
Joseph Michael from Donegal, 03 Oct 2008
I was suprised,by Keanu Reeves performance in this film. (and me being Canadian), I always thouht he was a very wooden actor and outside of Bill and Teds adventures and The Matrix he is finaly becomung and actor instead of a wooden spoon. Street Kings is a simple story of inside corruption yet it has a biting edge.

1 out of 10 Street Kings
Derek from Dublin, 24 Nov 2008
Very, very disappointing. I was expecting so so much- given the scale of talent on this movie - but they were just all let down by a pathetic script and worse direction. Never in a million years would I watch this again and would advice everyone else to stay away from it too. Just bad, bad, bad......

2.5 out of 10 Only OK
John from Dublin, 16 Feb 2009
Keanu is still a cardboard actor. The film itself wasn't too bad, but it felt that the director realised that the budget was running out and finished the movie very abruptly.
