RUBBISH!

OMG! I just read someone say there was "Action straight from the start!" That's if you can find the start! 1 & 2 for me were good films. This is a huge step down and the acting is utter tripe! They seemed to have gone way overboard and delved into cheeseville for script writers as it's nowhere near the quality of the first two movies. There's just too much padding and not enough substance plot-wise. Although a fan, I have to say I did'nt even play this half way before turning it off. Rubbish!

Some good, but more bad.

There's two ways to look at this one. First up you can look for plot and character and direction and you will come up short - there is little of any of these elements and although there are some good moments (I loved the 'French restauranteur), they are padded by more mediocrity. However, as pure disposable popcorn fun, this is not half bad. I mostly enjoyed it and it fits the niche of brainless summer fun. It's just a pity that the Spiderman franchise has become acceptably disposable.

waste of time

This was very disappointing. I liked the first SpiderMan and the 2nd one was pretty good, too. This one, though, was not worth the time spent watching it. Tobey Maguire is really getting on my nerves, he spent most of the film with a slightly idiotic grin on this face. The only refreshing face was Kirsten Dunst. She and the visual effects are gaining this film the 2 score I'm giving it. I hope there's not going to be a 4th installment. If there is, I won't watch it.

Terrible

Very dissappointing. Its been downhill since the first one. This feels very long but there is no character development. 3 villians is too many to fit into one film and none of them get enough emphasis, especially venom which could have been done so much better. Don't rent this film unless you want to waste a couple of hours of your life.
Undecided...

Not too sure whether I was disappointed by this latest installment of the adventures of Spiderman. Tobey Maguire is brilliantly nerdy as Peter Parker but it takes a while for any action scenes of any note to get going as character development takes centre stage. A fairly solid chapter in what will no doubt be followed by another movie.
