4 out of 10 You'll either love it or hate it
James from Dublin, 08 Apr 2008
This is a black comedy/sci fi/drama about the end of the world. Set in LA on July 4th, it tells the interwoven story of a number of unique characters including a scheming porn star, an action movie star suffering from amnesia, a disfigured Iraq War veteran, and a Neo-Marxist group. It was written/directed by Richard Kelly, the man behind the modern cult classic "Donnie Darko". If you like that movie and/or David Lynch's work, you might enjoy this rather visionary tale of the apocalypse.

0 out of 10 rubbish
gerard from Dublin, 10 Jun 2008
I dont actually know why i put this on my list but if any of you have it on your list i suggest you take it off. In it are four of the worse actors i have ever seen (the rock, jon lovitz, sean william scott & christopher lambert) who all combine to make easily the worse film i have ever seen. I have no idea what this rubbish is about but i found myself cringing at how bad the rocks acting is in this, its nearly worth watching just to see how incredibly bad he is at acting.

1.5 out of 10 Southland Tales
peter from Westmeath, 17 Jul 2008
Has some funny moments but overall it is just really confusing. I don't know what was going on. Just because its complicated doesn't mean its smart. I put this on my list because i liked Donnie Darko but this is nowhere the same level. I think the director tried to do too much and it just doesn't work.

1 out of 10 Inconceivable!
Anne Marie from Wicklow, 03 Jun 2008
Very silly, glossy, utterly plotless and pointless movie. This was only enlivened by one of the characters being played by the odd looking actor who was one of the assassins in The Princess Bride and I stuck it out hoping to hear him say "Inconceivable!". Alas I was destined for disappointment.

Awful - can't believe it was directed by Richard Kelly, who directed Donny Darko, which I loved. Completely unfollowable, which I don't mind if there's a point to it, as with some David Lynch. Turned this off mid-way through...
