This is an absolute farce. Another in the recent string of Di Caprio films that is hugely over-rated. Neither he and nor Scrorcese has produced anything worth a fraction of the credit they have received over the past 10 yrs. Scorcese is incapable of producing a film without gaping plot-holes and Di Caprio cannot see past the directors credit on the cover page of a script.
Shame about the ending......

This film starts out really well; moody and atmospheric. Unfortunately from about a third of the way in there are large neon signs signposting the most unbelievably formulaic ending.
What has happened to Martin Scorsese in recent years, he used to make really good movies?

With a different ending this could have been great - the acting is good and the setting great, with a sense of dread building as you get brought along by the story, but in the end it is such a terrible cop out that it makes you feel you've wasted time in watching.

A little way into this movie I predicted an ending but thought 'That's far too obvious - there has to be another twist'.. However, the twist I created in my own head never came and I was very disappointed. Maybe I overthought it.
The acting is good though

So over hyped its not even funny, did not enjoy at all was clock watching a lot and have to say the overall plot pivots around the wife and what happened to her very similar to inception, overall I could not recommend this.
