Entertaining but tired

The Shrek franchise continues to lose its sheen in this third (and hopefully last) installment. Some scenes are funny and there are one or two laugh out loud moments but nowhere near as many as the first movie. Donkey is criminally relegated to a minor role alongside Puss so allowing more room for lesser characters to take more screentime and provide less laughs. Will entertain while it is on but won't leave much of an lasting impression.

Pretty but dull

The first film was excellent, the second quite good, this one sadly continues the downward trend. The storyline is forced, with two many characters and not enough for them to do.
On saying that, visually it is stunning, I forgot a couple of times that this was a cartoon. I thought the kings death was one joke too far, and I don't know what they were thinking turning the queen (Julie Andrews) into some sort of Ninja.
Not as good, but still good

OK, so the films not as good as the first two, but they were classics. Instead it's a solidly good performance from Puss, Donkey, shrek and fiona, and the lil ones, with the new addition of Justin Timberlake. It's sure to keep your bird happy, and its good for a laugh in its own right!
One too many

My four year watched this instead of one. Didn't enjoy it much at the cinema and my wife thought the content was a bit inappropriate for a four year. Tend to agree. Four out of ten. They will have a job recapturing the momentum for the undoubted Shrek 4.
Funny in parts but not as good as previous ones

Yep, some laughs here and there but mostly rambling and unfunny. Y ou smile mostly because you know the characters rather than at the jokes. Nowhere near as good as Shrek one, and not even as good as Shrek two. Time to knock the series on the head.
