Decent Western

Five inexplicable minutes near the end aside (the Angelica Houston contribution), Seraphim Falls is a decent old-fashioned Western where one man is chased incessantly across country by another. The reason for these actions becomes clearer as the movie tels its tale and it kept my attention throughout. Admittedly, it starts better than it ends but overall I'd say most Western fans will enjoy this. Stunning scenery throughout and Brosnan and Neeson deliver too.

Okay, I would'nt say it's in my Top Five Westerns and not near as good as 3.10 to Yuma whatever it was called, but this was a surprisingly good film considering it had Pierce Brosnan who looks weird in anything other than a swashbuckler role. But I have to say, his acting and, easily Liam Neeson's anyway, were superb. The story line was a little thin, but if you are a fan of the genre, it is a film to watch for sure. Totall bizarre Anjelica Heuston cameo! LMAO!
(not really about the 'title' SERAPHIM falls.

two fine'Irish'men out for a stroll, and everynow and then, they take pot shots and miss everything.Lots of whats this movie like?
then bang bang bang, guy falls of a horse,maybe dead, doesn't bother me, so I'm tired, fell asleep, til credits roll. oops, rewind &
try to watch 2nd half i'd missed, it wsn't too bad. it's a cure for insomnia, thats my story & i'm sticking to it.

This started quite promising - the opening chase sequence gets your attention Ok. It gets increasingly slower though while focusing on the pursuit of one man by another in the name of vengance. It's a very simple story, but doesnt end how you would expect, and it's difficult to decide if it was worth sitting through. Its probably a good film, but be prepared for a slow ride.

This is the kind of film that youd sit down and watch on a sunday after dinner and you could have a little snooze during it and it wouldnt bother you, you wouldnt be too pushed to rewind it to see what you've missed because honestly you wouldnt have missed anything, its very slow and boring and a pretty bad ending as well.
