A fitting end

Regardless of what anyone says, this is indeed a fine finale to Stallone's 1970's creation.
Stallone lovers .. er, don't exist.
'Rocky' lovers though will love this or at least like it a lot.
'Rocky' haters .. won't.
For me, 'Rocky' and 'Rocky 2' were the only ones ever worth watching at all. Numbers 3 and 4 were unfortunate examples of the depths '80's American cinema could stoop to .. and number 5 was dreadful (as evidenced by the fact that it was had TV movie production values).

A great closing title

This installment of the Rocky saga see's Stallone fighting the aging process, despite getting on a bit he appears the biggest build in this film than any of the previous movies.
The film is less of a boxing underdog saga than the others and dwells more on Rocky's lack of calling in life since leaving the boxing scene. The script is very good but this is not really comparible to the others in terms of action, maybe the 80's montages would have been too cheesey to pump into this film.

Rocky Rocks Again!

This is a must for all Rocky fans! This movie shares the same ethos as the orignial Rocky movie, with the now old boxer overcoming adversity to regain his former glory. Much as the original, Rocky is the underdog having to face to biggest champ of the era.
This is a return to the orignial greatness of the Rocky series. Don't be put off if you saw Rocky 5, this is not a huge ball of cheese like the previous installment was.
Great. Watch it!

The end for Rocky
Ciaran from Dublin, 19 Aug 2007
Stallone revisits the character that made him and tells a fitting story of an older, wiser Rocky looking to calm his inner turmoil. This is primarily a character piece centering on Rocky which also touches on the main characters from his legacy. Fans of Rocky will love this while others may find Sly's speeches somewhat cringe-inducing but for me this was well worth the look and it is a fitting end to a screen legend.
Crap but great

This really is appalling stuff but I loved it. THe script is poor, some of the acting is bad but overall it really does bring a sense of closure to the Roicky films, and is very nostalgiac.
When he goes into training towards the end and the usual theme music kicks in is brilliant.
At least 3 out of the 6 Rocky films were legendary and this was a good way to bow out
