4.5 out of 10 Way of understanding
Timo from Dublin, 01 Oct 2009
Pi is excellent movie for those loving slower going deep thought movies, that have their own fine detail tensions within. Pi scratches the world of mathematics and educates also about the relations of mathematics and the Hebrew Bible, the differences about numerology and mathematics with great examples where one could easily go wrong and all that. It is also a story about a troubled but intelligent person, and his finding his way out of something of a psychotic period of life, perhaps intenti

4 out of 10 Pi in the face
Philip from Dublin, 31 Jul 2009
A bit of a cult favourite, a film well worth looking up. A highly original arty thriller about a genius mathematician who is rapidly going insane as he tries so solve the mystery of hidden patterns found in stock markets. When he accidentally falls across a series of numbers that might just have mystical significance (as well as power to whoever discovers themelves) he finds himself being chased by crazed accountants and ultra orthodox jews (and no, this isn't a comedy!). Wild and wierd.

3.5 out of 10 Hard Going But
Joseph Michael from Donegal, 26 Jun 2008
Hard Going but well worth the watch. For those Numbers theriost and conspiracy buffs. Mind you the end sort of reminded me of " One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" A paraniod mathematician seeks the answer by finding the ultimate number to the universe. A must view film for the number and suduku fanatic.

1 out of 10 couldnt sit through it
Siamsa from Dublin, 02 Mar 2009
The synopsis sounded great... but the film just wasnt... very weird, very repetitive, boring and sometimes disturbing. I usually like unusual artsy films, but I just couldnt sit through this one. The two stars are for the performances, which are good but wasted. Just too weird a film to enjoy.

1 out of 10 Not great
Alan from Dublin, 30 Aug 2011
Have to agree with Siamsa. This film isn't as good as it sounds. Was a good idea but he could have done a lot more with it. Very bleak and the ending felt like they just wanted to get it finished.
