This has some of the best martial arts scenes in any film to date, but to my mind took away from the film's impact and degenerates into farce with the pedigree film makers surprising obsession with blood and gore. Blood, gore and dismemberment at the expense of story and character development, which if kept in check would have added to the intensity of the action, but here is merely a device to entretain the director and writer. I enjoyed this film. It nips along nicely, weaves a decent backstory through the narrative to set up the ending act well. The action is quick and fast, feet, fists and blades flying. Bear in mind that this is quite a violent movie, with every punch and slice a fountain of CG blood!

Terrible plot,but to be honest who wanted to watch it for the story.great to see my childhood idle sho kosughi back on the big screen.great cg blood,lots of guts.if you like over the top hackings you'll love it

Its ok...loads of action sequences...CGI made it fancier.
Its good with coca cola and popcorn. Cheeseburgers? No!

Well if you like ninja movies you will love this. It could have been a lot better though.
