Oh Dear
John from Donegal, 23 Aug 2008
John Farleys sadistic gym teacher from school is dating his mother and John is determined to put a stop to it. I think Susan Sarandon is brilliant, and so really wanted to love this film. It was still awful. The scenes were laboured, the emotions slushy, and the acting woeful. Sarandon does try her hardest, but clearly just took the paycheque and ran. Ethan Suplee as Johns friend is the best thing in this, though he just plays the same character from My name is Earl.

Mr.Poppycock!

Very Very NOT Funny, Stiffler is no more!, shows what happens when comedy actors get too much money, they'll add their name to any script for a few bucks. Basically a boy(Stiffler) who was bullied by his Gym Teacher(BBT) grows up and leaves home, returns home to find mother dating gym teacher. He try's to brak them up and along the way finds out BBT's history and its not a very interesting one.
Give this a miss

Laughs are few and far between and even these are quick giggles rather than laugh out loud belly laughs. Seems they build a base for the plot but forget to make jokes from the idea. More than anything else this is another insight into the weird relantionship between american boys and their mother. Very poor
Mr Woodcock

I was really dissapointed with this film as it had such great potential. You cannot warm to Mr Woodcock (played by Billy Bob) at all as he is a complete asshole. At the end you just want the son (who was coached by Mr Woodcock) to grow a pair an just wallop the man.
Well, I liked it

This one has had very mixed reviews, but me? I quite liked it. It was easy light entertainment. It won't tax the brain and it won't change your life but for a relaxing night in, you could do worse.
