Kinda the same wave of district 9
Giacomo from Galway, 26 Apr 2011
If you are looking for a real story, real characters, what a real alien invasion may look like, what real reactions could people have in front of it... well then it's the right movie for you.
More or less the same idea behind district 9.
More or less the same behind cloverfield but without the blaiwitchproject camera effect.
If you (like me) are more the indipendenceday/warofworlds type of guy do not rent it.
Hollywood style, at LIDL prices!
Brock from Limerick, 06 May 2011
On the face of it, this is another Hollywood venture about alens on Earth and the human story to confront it. Then the credits run and you start to understand that this was shot on a nothing budget with one guy doing all 200+ FX on a a PC! Was very odd to see that my flim lecturer at college produced this, I must get back in touch!
Monsters a thoughtful movie
Paul from Laois, 15 May 2011
This is not really a movie about aliens or monsters. No sfx or fancy stuff. However its quite an atmospheric piece centered on a young couple thrown together and how their relationship grows. Some strong underlying moral messages in there too. Well worth watching. The soundtrack is brilliant...worth renting for that alone.
Good thoughtful sci-fi.
Rory from Dublin, 21 Oct 2011
This is a good movie and when you take into account the geurrila nature of its creation and the micro budget it's a great movie and a truly amazing achievement. Taken simply on it's own merits though it's a decent slow burner sci-fi/road movie. If you enjoyed The Road or The Book Of Eli you'll enjoy this.
Boring!
Sarah from Clare, 16 Mar 2011
Expectations were high for this one but it was boring, pointless and the effects were barely noticable (mainly tanks and missiles) and in some places noticably cheap. I don't know why the reviews are so good. So what if it was made on a shoestring, that doesn't make it entertaining.
