I LOVED this movie. Nair explores the complexity of modern Indian life with such skill. Themes include marriage for love versus arranged marriage, the gulfs which exist between classes/castes, the challenges faced by members of the Indian diaspora, what it means to be a family, and the difficult relationships of power that exist between the benefactor and the recipient. Additionally, the film was aesthetically gorgeous. A treat, enjoy!

There are some good bits in this movie with a lot going on building up to the big day, madness at the whole process but not bad movie
