Millon Dollar Baby

Clint Eastwood takes the tired boxing genre and gives it his own twist in this gripping drama. The plot moves along somewhat expected lines (albeit in a superior fashion) until about 30 mins from the end. The twist and its payoff is heart wrenching and brings a real depth to the film. I'm not a major fan of Hilary Swank, but this won her a second Oscar, and she is convincing as the wannabe boxer. Clint himself is excellent, as is Morgan Freeman in the narrator's role.

Great film but the saying it's a sad one gives the game away a tad! LMAO! But the attention to detail is fantastic and yer wan looks well fit! Nicely made and the dialogue between Eastwood and Freeman is pure class. Worth a watch indeed.
excellent

This was on my 'must catch up on' list for ages, and I'm glad I did. The three leads are terrific, and the unusual story really does pull you in. Totally convincing and heartbreaking: first-class storytelling.
