This is terrible I really cant understand how they were allowed make this. It really has the feel that they simply made it up as they went along. How De Niro agreed to be in this I will never know. If you take it as a comedy it is up there with anchorman though.

Action films are meant to be entertaining
Political / human rights films are meant to be informative
Machete tries to do both, but while it's tasteless and full of OTT violence, that was the intention of the director. Watch it, if only for the laugh.

This is like a Mexican Tarantino flick. Ridiculous plot, lots of killing and some gratuitous nudity. If you're a 13yr old boy you might enjoy it.

Typical Rodiguez/Tarentino type blood and guts 70's grinhouse gritty movie.. One for havin' the mates over,few beers and burgers..
