2.5 out of 10 Dont expect a rom com
Ann from Dublin, 21 Apr 2010
I think this movie's greatest downfall was the marketing surrounding it. It was put out as a boy meets girl rom com however it really isnt that at all. I would place it more in the drama category albeit with some lighthearted moments. Its really about a man dealing with the grief of losing his wife and thats more central to the plot than his budding romance with Jennifer Aniston's character. Because of the misleading marketing people are expecting a rom com which it isnt so the bad reviews are t

3.5 out of 10 Mediocre
sarah from Kerry, 27 Jul 2011
I did quite enjoy the story line of this film. It was very interesting to see how he coped with the grief of losing his wife, or rather didn't cope. It was also nice to see him getting together with Jennifer Anniston's character and making up with his father in law but it was no better than "nice." Saying that, I still enjoyed the film.

3 out of 10 Not quite what it seems
Mark from Dublin, 07 Jan 2011
Its okay if not slightly predictable fair not quite a rom com not quite a serious drama either with Jennifer A doing what she does best not acting. I also thought it was quite drawn out, not that I was clock watching just surprised how long it was.

3 out of 10 Watchable
Martina from Tipperary, 07 Mar 2011
Agree with other posters, was expecting a rom com and didn't get it. Having said that it did make me cry a little at the end so I must have got involved in the story. Found the Aaron Eckhart guy a bit unbelivable as the grieving widow.

0.5 out of 10 Terrible
Brian from Dublin, 23 Jun 2010
If there were a zero rating, I would have used it for this film. It has to be the worst movie I have ever seen and I can't find one redeeming fact to write about it.

What's it about....
A romantic drama about a widower (Eckhart) whose book about coping with loss turns him into a best-selling self-help guru. On a business trip to Seattle, he falls for a woman (Aniston) who attends one of his seminars, only to learn that he hasn't yet truly confronted his wife's passing.
