A old fashioned tear-jerker with outstanding performances from Hoffmann and little Justin Henry. Streep plays the oppressed housewife, disappearing for over a year, on a journey to self discovery. In the meantime the father and son relationship has developed and unbreakable bond. Cue a court case and custody battle. No dramatic soundtrack or over-acting, just a very good, well crafted film.
