It's a horror film... set in a cow shed.

I will gladly watch John Lynch in anything, but sadly even his performance and some decent directing doesn't save this film from essentially being a horror film set in a cow shed. Yes, you did read that right - a cow shed. Cows are simply Not Frightening. In this case they simply look bewildered as to why a film crew should show up on their dairy farm and conspire to make them appear evil with clever night-time lighting, dreadful OTT horror music and an evil foreign scientist. Cheesy at best.

the plot sounds like pants, but its a winner

when someone says, "mutant cows", you automatically assume its gonna be garbage. not the case with Isolation. Out of the few Irish horror films to get made, this comes out tops. It manages to create some pretty decent atmosphere and tension, while always playing it straight. And this is what makes it work.
Avoid garbage like Boy Eats Girl, give this a shot instead.
Needs to be isolated

Really cheezy, the story line was unbelievable it was a new way to look at mad cow disease and the traveller in this movie had a fine north sider accient. If you are feeling a bit low this will give you a few laughs. I give it a rating of one because it made me laugh.
mad cow disease

this will not be remembered in 3 months time , a bit of a mad, strange movie . i spent the hour and a half wondering who came up with this crazy idea of having alien type little monsters coming out of cows , all a bit much
Not a classic

An Irish attempt at an Alien type film, instead of human hosts why not use cows, there are plenty in Ireland... So the film consists of five people running around a large cow-shed trying to avoid mad cow-alien things. Much better Irish films out there.
