Quite average affair whereby a regular guy hopes to break out of his ho-hum existence by recording a hit single. Maybe those more into the gangsta music scene will appreciate it more.

What's it about....

DJay (Terrence Howard) is a pimp whose gritty hustle selling sexy Nola (Taryn Manning) and supporting pregnant Shug (Taraji Henson) leaves him wondering if this is all there is for him.
