clever but abit too long

im a big fan of the spaced crew so i was looking forward to this. it starts of well. the teams clever use of fast cuts with clever narration and one-liners really keep the movie flowing. nick frost steals the show (as usual) and pegg really nails his character. the action is good and the pace of the jokes is spot on until the last 1/3 of the film. it looks like they had about 3 ideas on how to finish the film, couldnt decide, so they just used all of em. its a bit over long but well worth a veiw

Wasn't expectin much from this film but was pleasantly surprised.
Albeit, a world away from the suburbia of the "Thin Blue Line" series, the film draws nostalgia from 1 of Rowan Atkinson's under-credited works.
The film assembles a vast array of village characters, all of whom give you the picture of a sleepy little village, yet I can help but draw paralell to crazy villages in rural Ireland, where nasty business is shoved under the rug.

This really is an unbearable piece of rubbish. The sight gags are predictable and unfunny. The script is attrocious. This is one of those movies that the UK film industry hypes the hell out of in the hope that it won't flop. So we see the 2 genuinely funny bits in the trailer and on the TV interviews...think we're on to something... and then vow that never again will we watch a British Funded Movie Comedy and will just stick to their excellent TV. This is dross of the highest order. Flat Fizz

Absolutely loved shaun of the dead so was really looking forward to this and have to say I was a little bit disapointed it was good in parts and had some funny bits but I suppose it just didnt match up to my expectations but I would still recommend just be aware that this is no where as good as shaun and maybe someone somwehere has been guilty of overhyping the movie.

This is a very ordinary comedy. It's typical british humour anout the slick city cop who moves to the country....rather bazaar country, and how he fares. While the film is simple there is humour and amusement so i wouldn't write it off totally. it is one of those films that you'll probably enjoy if you get out but will never miss not seeing if you dont get it.
