I only rented this because of a review which mentioned its OTT gross factor so my curosity got the better of me. If you like shock horror & loads of blood, gore and gushings of other body fluids then you'll probabaly love it. Otherwise it's a film about the fate of 3 twenty something backpackers in Europe who end up in a nasty hostel where guests are snared by pretty nymphettes to provide prey for paying "hunters" who wish to mutilate & kill the unfortunates in the most depraved ways possible

I enjoyed this Film but to be honest I expected a bit more. I blame this entirely on my friends who had really hyped this up as the best horror film of all time! There are plenty of cringe and shut your eyes moments, but it didn't leave any kind of lasting impact. Lets just day I won't be worrying about a dodgy hostel next time I'm walking home in the dark.

For the first half an hour nothing happens and really it is just like an episode of RTE's ''How low can you go'' but it does pick up for the final hour and there are some gory horror moments. A promising and as it turns out not to farfetched storyline that maybe could have been made more interesting with better direction!

Think I was a little disappointed with this but I would put that down to the hype that has surrounded the movie and I didn't think it was that bad very enjoyable though and I would recommend a view.

this will make you think twice about back packing to unknown places :) , it really will leave a mark . i recommend and can t wait for the part two which is out in july
