An example of a married couple in "polite" society destroying each other, he with the only passion used during the marriage, and she totally without any feelings.
Odd in that sevants all female and only thing i found interesting was to view the deleted scenes with the director's comments obviously I lost lots in translation !!

I watched this because it was a Joseph Conrad story but the production is quite soul-less. Both the main characters seemed completely cold to me and as a result I fast forwarded through most of it. I wonder if this had been an Irish or British production if it would have been handled differently?
