4 out of 10 Pretty good
Jevgenija from Wicklow, 03 Jul 2009
I don't typically give a comedy a rating any higher than 6, because I think that higher ratings should be reserved for more serious movies. But I make an exception for Fool's Gold, because it is one of the best adventure/comedies that I have seen in a long, long time.

2.5 out of 10 So so.
John from Donegal, 19 Aug 2009
Treasure hunters. Not a bad way to pass a few hours. Both the lead actors plod through this film with nothing to taxing. But by the end, even I was hoping McConaughy would just put his shirt back on and take the smug 'look at me' look from his face.

3 out of 10 Easy Viewing
John from Dublin, 23 Mar 2009
Matthew and Kate have good on-screen chemistry which makes this very watchable. Its a complete no brainer and it is "the Goonies" for adults. With some humour included most notably from the bumbling villians.
