Great acting, sombre story but very, very good

Putting aside the cliched environment and "hollywood" style view of the troubles, this is an engrossing and moving story, led by an excellent cast who just fit into their roles wonderfully. The whole atmosphere of the period is captured brilliantly and though the story does get a slow at times, it's bought to life by the way the actors make feel for them, which ever side of the line your loyalties lie. Deserves a much wider audience. Great movie, but the actors deserve a lot of the credit.

True story of Martin McGartland

This is a gripping true story. Jim Sturgess is fantastic in the film and you can't take your eyes away as the film constantly surprises you. The fact it is based on a true story only hits home how awful things were back then. Nice to see another side of the IRA films rather than just the "glory" side. Def one to watch!
Fifty Dead Men Walking

Interesting if somewhat air-brushed version of Northern Ireland 1980's. Ben Kingsley is excellent as the sneaky intelligence officer who becomes over involved with the spy he is handling. All a bit simplistic really.
Loved it

From the soundtrack to the acting this film was a great evening in. The action was gripping and often intense, with excellent roles by many familiar irish faces.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Didnt like this. Turned off after ten minutes. Same old irish actors, borrowed the opening from in the name of the father. Not my cup of tea at all
