Easy Watching

A young aristocrat arrives home with a brash American wife, to the horror of his mother.
An easy enough film to watch, a few good performances by Chris Marshall & Colin Firth. But it didn't grab me or make me care about any of the characters.
Noel Coward plays tend to all be about upper class angst, but I think the actors/directer could have done more then learn the lines.
Ended up feeling disapointed that so many good actors couldn't have made more of it.
Easily Forgettable more like

At best okay watch the trailer and you will see the best bits of the film easily with such a high calibre of acting available they could have done so much more with this colin firth steals the show easily in what is an easily forgettable flick

very easy watching and quite amusing. Colin Firth was brilliant as the eccentric father in law with very little to say - but what he did say was delivered with such sarcasm and wit. a typical noel coward story but with a modern twist.
Likeable little film

based on the Noel Coward play, this is a nice little much ado about nothing kind of movie. Easy watching and pleasing on the eye. Watch out for all of the smoke and mirrors...
