Dogville

An unusual movie with a stage-like setting which takes a bit of getting used to but such is the strength of the storyline and the ensemble acting that you soon forget about it and immerse yourself in the plot. A throwback to when dialogue and narrative was important, if you manage to stay with it, you will be rewarded. A touch over-long, it is worth watching for the performances of Kidman, Bettany, Gazzara and Bacall and the John Hurt narration. An interesting movie.

Strange, unique and brilliant!

This is an incredible movie. It's very strange and really well made. It looks at human nature in a really unique way. It's shot like a play and is as moving as if you were at the theatre. It's not for everyone, there are a few disturbing scenes but if your looking for something really interesting with a great story with wonderful acting, go for this!
Strange film

Took me a while to get into it as it's filmed in a strange way. Like watching a theatre play on tv. Story is good but very tragic, great view of the cruelness of human nature. Great acting, brilliant cast.
weird and remarkable

Keep an open mind and prepare for a great ending. This is as close as I get to theatre and recommend this for anyone who likes to think after a movie

Its a great idea the way this movie is played like a stage show but it just goes on far too long. I got a bit bored towards the end.
