5 out of 10 Irish cinema gets it right.
Una from Dublin, 30 Jun 2007
Brutal, touching, funny, frightening, and wonderful. Definitely 90 twisted minutes you won't forget. Murphy and Cassidy play teenagers who have been inseparable from birth, until their disturbing mental states cause so much concern that Cassidy's character Sinead is sent away. Murphy, whose obsession with Cassidy's character is all-consuming, pursues her. But Cassidy's ability to see a world outside of the relationship she has with Murphy leads to a brutal end. Fantastic.

3.5 out of 10 Disturbing but fascinating
Maggie from Mayo, 24 Apr 2008
Disturbing portrayal of a deteriorating teenage mind and the changing relationship between two people whose world has consisted only of themselves since early childhood. I was gradually drawn more and more into the characters as the film progressed. Well-scripted and well directed. Good performances from both leads. An odd film, but one that fascinates.

0 out of 10 bad
David from Dublin, 07 Aug 2009
one of the worst films i have ever seen. the affected dialogue (third person with a kind of deconstructed grammar) is unbearably irritating. both of the main actors play it well in fairness, but it's a really trite and tiresome 'struggle of becoming adult' mess.

0.5 out of 10 Not for me.
mairead from Mayo, 27 Aug 2007
I watched this with my partner and it was ok. I am not sure what I think of it but it was not for me. Great acting but quiet heavy. This is just what I think maybe if I watch it again my review might change but not sure if I can sit through it again.

Sorry- but Cillian Murphy's accent did my head in during this movie- only watched about half of it and switched it off- thought it was rubbish. Not my type of flick at all.

What's it about....
Pig (Cillian Murphy) and Runt (Elaine Cassidy) born on the same day, in the hospital, moments apart. Twins, all but by bloodline. Inseparable from birth, they are almost telepathic. They are one, needing no one else, inhabiting a delicate, insular and dangerous world where they make their own rules and have their language. They are also partners in crime, with an appetite for recklessness, exploration and destruction. But days before their 17th birthday the perfect balance...
