An early example of Richard Linklater, this movie can be said to be one of the best of the 'Teen' Genre as the story follows a group of kids from small town Texas on the last day of school in the summer of 78'. Fans of the classic Rock genre will recognize many of the classics from Ted Nugent,ZZ Top,Sweet and other bands.
Some disturbing themes can be teen drinking and drug use scattered thought the movie.
ok movie, worth a watch

ok movie, nothing amazing about it. I will admit some scenes were very funny and there were some good characters but overall i would give it an average rating. Although it is better than most of the other teen movies out there that were made recently but it doesn't beat old teen films like "the breakfast club".

Lots of people go mad for this film but I was unimpressed. It's like watching a film of your own teenage years. I doubt even stoners would be impressed by this. Don't bother

I found this very disappointing, the soundtrack is excellent, but there was very little else to keep my attention (wooden acting, clichéd characters, bland script).

heard this film was supposed to be brillant but i thought it was only okay...may interest people who have a fondness for teenage/highschool type films....
