Entertaining and old fashioned

From someone who is a Paul Newman fan and likes a Western this was certainly an enjoyable insight into two of the Wild West's most renowned robbers. From the break up of the Hole in the Wall gang to the inevitable conclusion of their compainionship Butch and Sundance bring us on a journey of tension, humour, excitement and some brilliant shooting scenes.
I enjoyed this Western no end and it certainly lived up to it's billing as one of the all time in this movie category.
Paul Newman is fantastic as the ever thinking, quick talking Butch and Redford does a great job as his constant, womanising, trigger happy conspirator.
If you want to treat the more mature audience to something novel but a gem of it's time then I recommend this movie!

As good as it gets

Not many movies are as well made as this. Script, performances, cinematography...it's all head-and-shoulders above the ordinary. A delicious piece of cinematic storytelling, better than I remembered (hadn't seen it since I was a kid). If you enjoy good cinema, rent this. And take the time to watch the extras, lots of interesting background about the 'making of'.
What a Classic

What a movie and what a line up! I loved this film, the characters-the whole western scene. It is entertaining and amusing-the extras are very informative and interesting also. I highly recommend you not only rent this-but buy it to see two of the greatest actors working together!
Classic

This has to be one of the best films ever. The two guys are witty funny and the actors are superb. All in all I watched it two nights in a row and loved it both times.
Redford and Newman

Decent plotline but worth it for the connection between Redford and Newmand
