Brooklyns finest

Training day this ain't, every cop movie cliche is rolled into this like a greatest hits package sung by a drunken uncle at a wedding...the undercover cop played by Don Cheadle who gets in too deep, the grizzled burn out cop still plodding the beat and facing into his last week on the streets before retirement played by Richard Gere and the hard bitten street cop who dreams of moving his family to a nicer neighbourhood who is pushed to corruption to achieve this...great cast but a total waste of time, avoid.

Wait for TV

I had high hopes because of the cast and director of Training Day aside. Strange a it may sound Wesley Snipes aside and Omar of The Wire, I thought this was just ok. Richard Gere gave a very plausible performance but it just doesnt have the tension required. I did not really care what happened the characters and there is a distinct lack of coolness.
You get the feeling this was a former cops perspective and to be honest I want to see the hustlers perspective as that's were the story is.
Cops.

Gritty cop drama following the lives of three different cops, one burnt out veteran, one undercover and the last one a bent copper trying to provide for his family. Was quite slow in parts but builds to a dramatic climax.
Very slow movie

Found this a very slow and very long movie. The story is good and interesting following three different cops.
It dragged a bit in the middle but the ending was good!
More of Ethan Hawke's bum fluff

Seen it all before. Ethan Hawke as usual is over acting and under talented, yet it was Wesley Snipes who got banged up...criminal.
