Loved It

Never watched Sacha on tv so Borat was new & darn funny! Always remember, a hairdryer IS a hairdryer! LOL Leave all your so called PC rights & wrongs at the door & laugh & cry at this. I seriously had to wipe my eyes many times with laughter. It could have been shorter & then it would have been a hoot a second rather than a hoot a minute. I can't remember anything disgusting so I'll have to watch it again. To refresh my memory! It's not just a film for guys. I'm looking forward to rewatching it

Not for the squeamish

Pretty gross (I know most subjects are fair game in comedy, but this really pushes the limits) but very funny in parts - especially when the Americans make fools of themselves (the rodeo and born-again scenes are classic). Would have liked to see their reactions when they found out they were had - although suspect Cohen would have been lynched! Not sure why they filmed the Kazak scenes in Romania (maybe again to avoid lynching) but to anybody who knows anything about either country, it jarred.

????? ??????! ???????, Borat!

I was never a huge fan of Sacha Cohen up till now. Indeed I hated his Ali G character, but I'm so glad he made this movie. I laughed till my sides ached. Put away your political correctness and laugh with me. This film is no more about racial prejudice than "Till Death Us Do Part". Borat, like Alf Garnett, is funny because we have learned to laugh at bigots the world over. Very funny! Thanks, Borat; or as they say in Kazakstan - "????? ??????! ???????, Borat!"

I LIKE!

This is an absolutely hilarious account of one man's (Borat) mission to make a documentary on American culture for the people of Khazacstan. There are many laugh out loud (as well as cringe-inducing) moments in this film and while critics might say it's offensive and purile, there isn't really anything here that should offend if you take things in the spirit in which they're intended.
In a world gone PC mad, it's a very, very funny movie.

Cruel humour, at easy targets.

I knew this was going to be a challenge to watch.. and I was right. I spent much of the film with my hands in front of my eyes, hoping he'd stop. I didn't find it funny, though I had to admire his bravery. It took guts.
If you're a fan of Ricky Gervais, but feel he doesn't go far enough, then this is the film for you. The humour is often cruel, and mainly at American stereotypes, which I found a bit too easy. Not the film for me.
