NUTS!

I can see how some would think this a pile of muck! But in a strange way (I mean strange, as in freaking Monkey Magic on a cloud strange!) I actually let this pass the time without moaning at its poor budget or effects. The actors are'nt bad in fairness. Having said that, most will probably find this utter tripe! LMAO! I liked it, kind of like a freaky neurotic bird whom once yev seen through the weird giggles and intense stare actually means no harm at all and will be great in bed! :-)

Thought it was quite good.

Shot in Iceland which looks stunning, we have Gerard Butler from 300 looking less buff and spouting Nordic poetry instead of Spartan quips. It looks like a bit of a labour of love with lots of olde lines which appear to be straight from the ancient poem. The story is interesting in a low-key way and I found it all watchable. Just remember it is an old, uncomplex tale simply told.
A surprisingly decent enough....

...take on the legend of Beowulf as he attempts to rid the King of Daneland of a monstrous Troll (Grendel) who has been terrorising his lands. Lots of recognisable faces in this work well together and make for a decent enough retelling of the tale. Refreshing in that is is completely devoid of CGI and 'Hollywood'-esque scenes.
Fails to deliver

This could have been a great movie, but the adaptation didn't work. The plot drifetd along, the characters were aimless and the action was too far apart to keep the interest. Save yourself 90 mins and don't rent this one.

Brilliant Movie.
A great fantasy of the first ever "English" language story. Mind you they kept the language fairly accurate. Well done
