Bedknobs and Broomsticks

A wonderful tale of a would-be witch (Angela Lansbury) hoping to use her powers to defeat the Nazis in WW2 and the adventures she and her evacuees have in finding a lost spell.I enjoyed it as the acting was great and good songs as well.You could see the strings in some cases and it is not up to the standard of Mary Poppins but in it's own right a decent enough film.

In England during World War II, three young kids are forced to evacuate their home and move in with the eccentric Eglantine Price (Angela Lansbury). At first the youths are unhappy--until they discover that Eglantine is studying to become a witch.
