A strange little film which was boring and interesting. It made me wonder what sort of person would see this particular tough approach to being in the armed forces as a career something to devote your life too. Did wonder what old soldiers do when they're too old to continue the physical torture of the French Foreign legion

I really liked this -it was challenging and I guess explores the notion of masculinity, pain ,jealosy and dedication to a higher cause.I hadnt known anything about the French Foreign Legion before but I think it was very honestly if brutally portrayed. Its very artistic and moving throughout.
its yer man from mauvais sang

Im sorry for being so ignorant but its the guy who did the brilliant dance run routine to modern love by david bowie at the end of mauvais sang. so. in this he is in the french foreign legion, meeting lovely young girls in discos on duty.

I really enjoyed this movie moody atmospheric and the cinematography really captured the arid barreness of the desert and the harshness of the light. A slow burning story of jealousy and masculinity. Reminded me of Malick in some ways.
just plain boring

there's some nice eye-candy for the girls but apart from that this
film starts at a tedious pace, stays at a tedious pace and finishes at
a tedious pace.don't waste your time,unless you're a glutton for
punishment.
