You've Sunk My Battleship
Peter from Cork, 17 Jul 2007
Unusual, exciting and very different.
I've no idea why this movie had me forgetting to breathe for long periods, but it did. The score is superb and layers on the tension, but the film itself is remarkable - brilliantly paced, tense and not one scene or minute too long or too short.
Forget how influential it is, forget how many of the scenes have been pastiched over the years. If this film was released in 2007, people would acclaim it as original and sharp, without and ounce of filler.
Eisensteins Potemkin

Most definitely ahead of its time but offers very little in the way of entertainment to a modern audience. Useful for education and as an object of interest. Worth watching for the famous Odessa steps scenes alone when a crescendo of intensity if reached...
Not for me!

I'd say this is more for an film buff into extremley old films! Just not for me - but don't let that put you off if your into the origins of film making!
Soviet propoganda at its best

I thought this was a good movie told the story and although it wouldnt match the blockbusters of the day it is still a piece of modern history.

Silent movie - you have been warned, good for what it is but really one for the film buffs & students!
