If you're in the mood for a cross-cultural laugh, get this one. It's gory, wildly improbable even within it's own extreme logic, and quite lacking in your typical redeeming qualities. And it's kids killing each other!
As someone interested in Japanese culture and enjoying shoot-em up action flicks I liked this. Just get it looking for a good time and a few laughs. You'll be pleased.
This film is, by the way, pretty well known. The kind of thing you /know/ Tarantino must have loved.

To cope with the increasingly violent adolesents, the Government comes up with a scheme to Cull the population. A televised To-the-Death competition for school classes.
Gruesome, unintentionally funny, and in places very good. If you like lots of gore, then you'll love this. I'm sure an American version is in the pipeline!!!

An awful film! Full of gratuitous violence, this film tries unsuccessfully to make a social commentary on youth, state violence, relationships.... the message is lost in the bloodbath. If it wasn't painful to watch, it would be boring

Hard hitting but excellent story around a school class that has been picked to take part battle royale I will not divulge the story but its a good movie and defo in that must see movie list of a lifetime.

If you don't think you'd enjoy asian schoolkids on an island killing each other then this one isn't for you! You go into this one knowing EXACTLY what to expect. A good film for what it is.
