Bagdad Cafe (1988)

1 out of 10 Brutal Cafe

A film about nothing in the middle of nowhere. If you can tolerate the main character shouting and complaining for the first three quarters of it then the last quarter is vaguely entertaining. A few token arthouse shots, but overall I'd have to say outhouse.

3 out of 10 Nice.
Ciaran from Dublin, 30 May 2008
A nice movie experience is to be had here with this low key, character based movie. Surely not for everyone as the other reviews show, this will be the type of drama that some will enjoy very much. Try it out if you feel like something a little different.

It's a movie that puts you on a good mood and you have more optimistic vision of your future life, especially if you come from a freshly ended relationship.

Loved it, Not a rip roaring epic, but a great little film with a superb cast. Nothing like your usual Hollywood tosh. Highly enjoyable

Injecting his bold and unique style into a sweet story about the common threads that connect disparate people, Adlon succeeds in creating a cinematic jewel that is both "hilarious and touching" (Los Angeles Times).
