1 out of 10 Ash Wednesday
Gary from Dublin, 14 Jun 2007
The film starts out good enough with a dark Irish Mafia setting but once the first 15 minutes is over you realise this is an overlong dark and depressing story. Elijah Woods performance is not good at all, with Edward Burns putting in a more convincing role. But the film does not delve deep enough into the characters turmoil and the story seems drawn out with not a lot happening to keep you involved. Give this film the hard shoulder.

2.5 out of 10 OK, not good not too bad
Maggie from Mayo, 07 Jan 2008
As a previous reviewer says, Elijah Wood acted very badly in this. The other guy was good. The overly dark and "artistic" lighting was a real pain after a while, it was like watching the film through orange smog. Fairly standard film. Big brother trying to save little brother from the mob so he can live happily ever after. Watchable but you are left with a vague feeling of having wasted a couple of hours.

Three years later, Francis, who has given up his crime-ridden lifestyle and is now looking after Sean`s widow (Rosario Dawson) and child, receives word that Sean...
