Arthur And The Invisibles

3.5 out of 10 Fairly decent light family entertainment.
John from Dublin, 27 Feb 2008
Directed by Luc Besson, this has slightly different style and flavour from the standard animated fare. CGI is mixed with real-action so there has been a lot of work (and money) put into realism. Character faces look a bit stiff but everything else looks amazing. I also felt that the character's spout their lines a bit too quickly making it seem rehearsed (maybe because actors recorded in isolation). But despite this, its definitely worth a watch for those into computer animated movies.

3 out of 10 Good natured kids movie
Colin from Tipperary, 31 Mar 2008
Watched this with my kids and we enjoyed the mix of animated and "real" characters. Good fun although no surprises in the plot. Some really good voices too particularly David Bowie as the bad guy. Madonna played the voice of the female lead who's supposed to be in effect a 12 year old. So that was a little stretch of the imagination once you knew it was Madonna. Would recommend this to anyone with kids for those rainy afternoons!

4 out of 10 Arthur rocks
Eugene from Limerick, 03 Sep 2008
Excellent family movie. Great story and characters. Excellent voice actors for the animation section of the movie with David Bowie, Snoop Dog, Robert De Niro. To be honest i didnt notice it was Madonna voicing the heroine. Great nods for the parents, particularly with the dance/fight sequence. If you are going to watch a movie with the kids this will do very well.

4 out of 10 Arthur And The Invisibles
Martin from Kerry, 08 Nov 2007
I got this due to the persistence of my child, I wasn't sure about it. It turned out to be quite a good movie that the kids enjoyed and I didn't mind watching either. Well made and with good humour. Everyone could watch and enjoy this.

4 out of 10 Arthur and the Invisibles
Cecilia from Kildare, 16 Jul 2008
Enjoyed this movie but a bit advanced for my kids. The animation section is good but the actors speak very fast. Mia Farrow was great as the granny and I enjoyed the mix of real and animated characters. Worth a watch, good story.
